Dahlia

I hosted the church coffee morning today..... we have one each Saturday;  mostly there is a charitable cause to benefit, but every so often there is nothing planned.  However, as the seniors of our church like their Saturday morning gossip, we take it in turns to provide tea/coffee and biscuits/fruit cake, so that they don't lose out. 

It was busy and very pleasant, helped by several friends.  Gordon our minister turned up halfway through the proceedings, and proceeded to flirt with some of our older ladies, much to their delight. 

The weather has turned quite wet, although not cold.  However, the rain puts a damper on our spirits.

The HG's dahlias are at their peak just now!
