Hot hedges

Hedge cutting on a hot day (28 to 30 degrees).  It's a bit like sealing yourself up in giant plastic bag and doing vigorous press-ups in a sauna.  This is a tricky hedge, full of thick stems and it has to be cut on both sides.  It took most of the day. N made loads of lovely jam and marinated some chicken which we barbequed for dinner.
