Gold and Platinum?

Glen took the day off today and we spent some time together panning on Mission Creek. We found more gold today then we have on all of our 3 other expeditions. It was a fabulous warm day and the only wildlife we encountered was a duck. Which is fabulous when you know that there are a ton of bears around eating all the yummy Kokannee spawning at the moment.

I found a couple of large silvery flakes in my pans and I'm unsure of what they are. I'm thinking maybe platinum but that is really only a guess. Anyone else out there know?
