celebration time

In the morning there was a special service for Alan's Ruby ordination anniversary, with a party afterwards in the rectory garden. It was also my brother Andy's 50th birthday, and he came to Blackheath to pick us up. Under his driving instructor's eye, Sarah drove us to his house in Bromley for a family BBQ.

Here are my parents, my brother and my sister and their families (plus a boyfriend and two girlfriends). It's quite rare that we all meet up and I wish I saw more of my nieces and nephews. 

Sarah went back home on the bus as she has a nursing shift tomorrow, and my sister took me down to Uckfield for a brief visit to my Mum and Dad's.

As always, lovely to celebrate but sad to say goodbye..
