Swan Upping

Today was the annual event os marking the swans on theThames called Swan Upping.

Arranged my appointments so I could go To Penton Hook Lock. The picture is of the rowers in the lock waiting for the water to rise as they travel upstream. We didnt go onto the Island so dint see them catch and ring the cygnets which I think were by the marina. You were left in no doubt as to which boat belonged to who, the Crown or the Vintners
