Lavender galore

What a glorious day - sunshine all the way and car said 26 degrees!  We decided to go to the Cotswold Lavender farm at Snowshill today as it will soon be being cut! We enjoyed a lovely couple of hours there wandering about the fields, taking in the scent, trying and mostly failing to get sharp shots of bumbles, bees and butterflies! Enjoyed a piece of lavender shortbread and lavender flapjack with coffee....different and tasty! Then decided as we were so close we'd go to Snowhill Manor - home of Charles Wade a rather eccentric collector of, well anything and everything!  Lovely grounds and beautiful house but for my taste the rooms were too cluttered to really see anything......not sure I'd rush back.  Home now relaxing with a well earned G&T and many steps on the clock - will sleep well!
