Ince Castle

Another great day with Madchickenwoman! It was a very slow start, having gone to bed at silly o'clock. Then down into the village to photograph a minor local celebrity arriving in a chauffeur-driven car to open the new kitchen of the village hall where they were serving delicious-looking cream teas. 

On to Ince Castle to walk around the gardens. Not a castle but a rather lovely manor house whose owners open the grounds a handful of times a year. A beautiful place with far-reaching views across the water, a wonderful pool and a fascinating shell house. Lots of flowers photographed but I keep coming back to these twirly, curly things!

Home for a gorgeous home-cooked fish dinner and a slightly more sensible bedtime, as we needed to be up in the morning to meet up with mydartmoorwalks and Gilesy - sooo looking forward to seeing them again!
