Old money, new money

A day spent in Trogir, an island near where we are staying. Very eclectic mix of architecture, according to the guide books. Certainly had echoes of Venice. We took a boat there and back and the journey back had added drama as our boat kept on being sprayed by waves due to the choppy waters and the lack of balast on the boat; we were well and truly drenched by the time we reached our accommodation. More dramatic still was the sight of black clouds behind Spilt which is giving the city cause for concern. By night, the flames were clearly visible leaping up into the air. Lets hope it is under control soon as there are reports already of evacuations and we keep catching local news about the raging fire which is being fanned by high winds.
