Mazzalino

Today we visited two mountaintop villages in the Lucan Dolomites, Castelmezzano and Pietrapertosa. They are the highest villages in Basilicata. These two villages sit in an impossibly steep position right under the peaks and are joined by one of Europes longest zipwires if you're feeling brave. It was in one of the village cafes that this guy spotted the camera and was very keen to have his picture taken. He gave us the impression that he was the villages Italian "Dell boy" A slightly blurry shot but I was keen to get it taken and move on!
