Gatekeeper Butterfly

Back to my usual life, so it's back to my usual haunt this morning - my walk around Trentham Gardens.

And as usual I'm always on the hunt for the insects. I wasn't disappointed. I chased bees, butterflies and damselflies........ This is a gatekeeper butterfly and the extra is a ringlet, I think? What a lovely name for a butterfly!

Then off to do my dad's food shopping and check he's OK.

Now I'm back home and catching up on the domestics. And trawling through all the holiday photos, ready to make a photobook as a reminder of what a great time we had.
