Lucky shot...

I was very lucky today. After my physio session, I popped back into Risley for half an hour to see if I could nab another dragonfly image for Dragonfly Week.
Until a couple of minutes before I left, it was going to be the green damselfly in the extra which I think may well be an emerald damselfly.

Then this rather large dragon flew up and landed nearby for about 3 seconds and then flitted off again. I took 2 shots and this is the better of the two. I think it's a female migrant hawker, but please correct me if I am wrong - they all look so alike!

This could be the end of Dragonfly week for me as we have rain for the next day or so and I have 2 busy workdays so might not be able to get out either. Will see...
