Exploring Hatchlands Park.
This afternoon we went to Hatchlands Park . Beautiful grounds and a fascinating house. No photography was allowed in the house which was a shame! However, they had a stunning collection of musical instruments, lots of Clavichords, Harpsichords and Pianos. What I found incredible was the history behind some of these fine instruments. We saw a piano that had belonged to Marie Antoinette, a piano that had been played by Bach and Mozart, the piano that Elgar used to compose Nimrod from the Enigma Variations - incredible! I feel very privileged to have seen these.
