Tread softly...

Dr D's dear cousin Shirley, who is in her 80's is a generous and gifted woman who has spent her life as a hard- working farmer's wife , mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She has been a superb embroideress, spinner and weaver , seamstress and teacher of her crafts. Today is her birthday and I am the spoilt one. She has hand knitted these beautiful socks for my birthday last week...the first hand knitted socks I've owned in my 70 years. Thankyou Shirley.
