Dusky sallow
This moth is supposed to be reasonably common in my part of the Chilterns on chalk grassland, and flies during the day, but I hardly ever see it at the nature reserve. It was lovely to find it nectaring on knapweed, but this one was so faded (too much sun-bathing?) it was hard to pick out the distinctive markings at first.
Escaping the hot and humid conditions down here for a few (wet?) days in North Lancashire. Hope to resume blipping again after a bit of a break.
