Visiting Brändö

After a short ferry ride (where we stayed in the car) and then a longer one, (where the dogs had to stay in the car but we had to get out), we arrived at  Brändö, one of the many islands known as the Åland islands. They are part of FInland, but their official language is Swedish. We spent the night at the summer house of a friend of my sister in law. In typical Finnish fashion, we had a sauna and then jumped into the cold sea water in the picture. Their nearest neighbours are 3 km away, it is an idyllic way of living if one likes privacy and nature.
