Son's Surgery

Today our son had surgery to correct a double hernia. I wanted to capture the memory so at a later time when he is wondering when he had the surgery, I will have documentation. I looked online for an image that would represent the medical industry and today's surgery.

I also took photos of the sinking almost full moon as the guys drove from our house at 4:30 a.m. to go to the hospital. Then the wind began to gently stir the chimes that hang outside on the patio. Before long the "gentle" thundered to a roar and the wind rip-snorted through all the trees and bushes as the sun came up.

When the Santana wind blows, our sky clears so that we can see and see and see. So I took photos of the crystal clear views from our back deck. The Los Angeles television news coverage this evening claims the wind will increase tonight. The view will linger for another day or so before we fill the air with particles of yuck as the wind dies down. And even though it is still cold, there is a caution across our community regarding fires. The air is very dry.

The moon photos and the spectacular view photos, however, do not have the significance of the surgery photo. So the medical image won and we're hoping the surgery was successful. That's all I've got for today.

Not very exciting, but living sometimes isn't.

Good night from Southern California.
