RHS Tatton Flower Show
A day off today to visit the RHS Tatton Flower Show. Our second visit, after really enjoying it last year.
Lots of highlights, but in terms of photos in the extras:
* we really enjoyed the gardens created by primary school kids. The rules were explained to us by a school head, and are strict. The extra is one I liked - Toad at Toad Hall.
* it's a big event for the BBC as well. We saw Monty Don and Carol Klein filming, and Tony Buckland talking to the film crew before one shoot (extra). There are Tatton shows on BBC 2 Thursday and Friday this week.
* Salford had two gardens. There were a series of floral bus stops. One featured Peel Park (nearing the end of a restoration at the moment). And the other celebrated the Bridgewater Canal - I was invited to make a dibbler, and said yes (extra).
* New this year, a butterfly dome
