Saturday night, private function in at Toast, full of beautiful people, I slip out to get my photo for the day. Does that make me a blip nerd?

This is First Church, right in the centre of town, designed by a young scotsman.

I'm not a church goer but I think this is one of the best I've seen. It's not huge like the Duomo di Milano or St Paul's but it shouldn't be - it's New Zealand after all and for all it's external Euro chest puffing inside is a real contrast - it's all timber, quite warm and inviting - not what I'd expect from the outside.
