Woke up in Aberdeen Harbour at 6.00 a.m; primarily because I got on-board the MV Hrossey in Kirkwall at midnight. And when I say 'woke up' I use the word figuratively because there was quite a bit of plunging in the night and I had to put down an insurrection of steaming lascars. (Not sure if you are allowed to say 'steaming' nowadays). On turning out into the Granite streets there was a violent thunder storm.
But today wasn't really a case of Alma Mater but more Alma Cogan. Went to visit a friend in Ellon and she took us out for lunch. We then went for a spin round Ythanbank, Methlick, Ythsie, Skillmafilly and Wells of Newtown.
I have been advised that we will be attending a wedding in Aberdeen.
