What a great little machine this is! My friend gave it to me, it came with a certificate of provenance: purchased in 1982 from Peter Jones department store, at the enormous cost of £215.00.

I don't get it out very often, so today's shock discovery was that I now need an illuminated magnifying glass to thread the needle!

Never mind, I wound all the bobbins up and fixed the duvet cover, got the house sorted for the sitter, Lena, and packed for our trip. Saw my final massage client before the break. Hurrah, schoolmistress well and truly out!
