Gold!

So this past weekend it was the National Homebrew Competition. There were over 460 entries in total for the competition, which is pretty impressive for the UK.

I entered 2 beers in the competition, a Saison (which is a Belgian farmhouse beer style) and a California Common Ale (not a full on west coast ale, a little easier drinking amber ale). I managed to get a first place (in its class) with my California Common. I had the gold medal delivered to me at our brew group meeting last night, so it seemed appropriate to get a picture of it, on a bottle of the beer in question.
