Flowers in Hyde Park

When I shot the seagull yesterday afternoon I noticed these pretty flowers.  I walked back this morning hoping that the light would be better.  It still wasn't perfect but not too bad.  As for the name of this plant, I don't even know the names of what's in my own garden.  I'm calling it a dainty purple flower.
