A BIG weekend ahead for steam train chasers!
It is the 150th anniversary this weekend to mark the first train travelled the Blue Mountains to Wentworth Falls back in 1867.
My shot catches the historic loco from the 1930's the 3642 roaring through the also historic Emu Plains railway station. I was one of 5 other keen pic takers, and one video guy. The station is empty as the Sydney train had just left, and we were worried it would be in the way as the loco came along. All good though.
Tomorrow I am aiming for a shot as it goes over that mighty Nepean River as shown here on an earlier Blip only difference it will be daylight rather than dusk.
