Crop

Drove north as far as a pub by the A1 near Newcastle where we stopped to meet my old colleague John N for lunch. It was a while since we'd last met and it was good to catch up. Then we drove onwards, chosing the route via Coldstream as a welcome change from the A1.

Felt fairly exhausted on our return, so just returned the hire car and then put our feet up. I did do an inspection of the house plants and noted some flowers finally forming on the chilli plants and the slow development of this year's crop of coffee beans - it's been about five years since the previous one!
