Dinosaur forest walk
A Sablieres friend had booked us into an evening stroll and we duly arrived at 6pm to start. We were still wlaking at just before 10pm as the gloom was setting in but fun nevertheless.
A combination of natural history, history, geology and just interesting scenery made for a varied time. Caves that had been exploited as hideaways, hilltops that had been fortified against the Romans, Capitelles (rock shelters) with corbelled roofs built by shepherds, scorpions to avoid and rock arches to climb through.
Getting home at 11pm was a bit of a pain but worthwhile nonetheless.
