we were not alone

parkrun this morning and missed a best time for the year by seconds - it was busy and I started too far back and got held up in traffic.
After some chat in the café we returned home and loaded kayaks on the car and headed off to Pitlochry, the road traffic held us up and it took at least half an hour longer than expected. Wet most of the way there but the rain kindly stopped a few miles south of Pitlochry.
Whilst we ate our lunch we watched 2 women prepare their inflatable kayak ( the older one said she's bought if with 60th birthday money) and they set off just before we did.
We went most of the length of Loch Faskally with current against us one way and the wind the other but neither were too strong.
The other 2 returned just after us, but long enough for us to have moved our boats out of the way.
