Rainbows Trip

SATURDAY

It was the summer trip for the Elland Rainbows and I was enlisted to help out. They all went off in a minibus to Haworth and I followed in Harriet's car. It was my job to ensure that the car was in the right place (in case of emergency) and also to assist in carrying bags, fetching sandwiches, taking the odd photo and headcount.

By the time we arrived at Main Street the sun was out. It's Haworth Festival week and there was a big wedding at the church so the village soon started to get busy. The girls were entertained with various challenges, a visit to the sweet shop and enjoyed lunch in the park followed by a round trip on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway.

The blip shows locomotive 75078 at Keighley. A stalwart of the Railway for almost 20 years.
