Marmalade, anyone?

You'd think from the photo that we'd had a sunny day here in Northampton; well, it was, for about half an hour. That's when the Marmalade Hoverflies dashed out for a quick lunch-on-the-go.

Its official name is a bit of a mouthful too : Episyrphus balteatus
