View from here

Very wet through night and still this morning but not whilst we were packing up the car which was good. We left at 10:30 with the car packed to the gunnels and headed north, picking up the A1 eventually. The traffic was fairly OK until we hit a section of surging traffic which turned out to be related to the queue at Scotch Corner. We stopped at Durham services not long after that and changed over drivers. I drove us into Seahouses with our destination fairly familiar and down the road from where we were about 5 years ago. We have a comfortable place to stay for the week with great views, although they were not truly revealed until quite late on this evening when the rain stopped and the clouds cleared and this view from the balcony encouraged us out for our second walk of the evening.
