Bullace bargain bucket

Zion and I went on a walk down Newhall today to get ourselves a bucket of bullaces to make jam (and have a flask of coffee/banana nesquik) - when we got to the trees we found Val Inchley already at it with huge bags of them! Apparently she's made 20 jars of bullace jam and now is going to make chutney! She took pity on us as it started raining, so instead of cycling home when she'd finished she scrambled down the bank again to help us gather ours faster! (Hope I'm like that at 70 odd!)

Zion and I have made three jars of jam this evening - we didn't have enough sugar in to use all the fruit we'd gathered - tomorrow!
