Fortune Favours the Bold
Visited the National Airshow today at East Fortune, home of the National Museum of Flight. East Fortune was a huge RAF base during the second world war, the motto being "Fortune Favours the Bold"
Sadly that wasn't the case today, the weather was atrocious with a progressively decreasing cloud base throughout the day. Of the many and exciting air displays promised we only saw a Piper Cub, valiantly defying the weather.
We heard, but didn't see the RAF Typhoon go over. Such a shame for the organisers. Fortunately the museum exhibits are well worth a visit I was particularly intrigued by the airship exhibits.
