RoboScout...

....we can re-build him.....with titanium pins.

Dr Kramer very kindly re-assembled young Pip after he'd done his very best to disassemble his own arm on the trampoline at Waldhaus Berghotel. Our relaxing ice-cream break came to a sudden halt with the accident, but close proximity to the GP at Kandersteg village, and a very helpful hotel owner who provided transport, meant this young man was having his arm re-pinned at Frutigen Spital within 4 hours of the event.

After a quick check-over this morning, Dr Kramer discharged us in time to re-join the main group for the cable car/trek to the cheesery.

Later it was camp fire time and six years ago, the troop members missed an opportunity to contribute to the International Camp Fire and my slightly miffed mood is the stuff of legend. This time, six years of hurt were firmly laid to rest with a rip-roaring rendition of Boom Chika Boom from Simon and his concert party. It was a magic experience for many of us who understand the significance of 3500 young people (and me) sitting around a fire to sing and be friends. Youngsters from many nations were represented; USA, UK, France, Switzerland, Poland, Germany, Finland, Belgium, Slovenia, Sri Lands, Spain (Catalonia), Ireland, Malta, Canada, Australia and many more. The USA contribution was a bit odd, and I think someone needs to explain it's not all about them, but they were having fun in their own way....

Last full day and our awards night to look forward to tomorrow.
