Portent?

Hopefully the advertising hoardings around the pitch at Frome Town's ground weren't a portent of what the season has in store for Yeovil this season!

We went over to see my sister and brother-in -law in Frome today and while Tess & Jan enjoyed a little retail therapy in the town, Graeme & I enjoyed Yeovil's latest pre-season friendly, a fund raiser for one of Frome's former players, Jamie Mines, who had to have all four limbs amputated after being electrocuted while carrying out his day job as a scaffolder. He has faced his adversity with incredible bravery, so hopefully the game raised a lot of money for him.

As for the game, after a rather uncertain start, Yeovil ran out 2-1 winners.

In the evening, the four of us went out for a meal in a Peruvian restaurant in the town. The first time I've eaten Peruvian food and an experience I'dhappily repeat.
