Star Relay

It was our first day out in the forest training today and it poured down on and off!.  However, the youngsters worked hard despite being very wet on skills such as taking bearings; aiming off and pacing.  The morning's activities ended with a star relay in which teams of three move a cuddly around eight controls like a clock.  Basically team member 1 orienteers to a control, leaves the cuddly there and returns to the start whereupon team member 2 goes out to the control,picks up cuddly and moves it to no 2 control - then returns to the start etc etc.  Once all controls have been visited, the cuddly hopefully is returned to base.
