In the Bartlow hills

Yes there are hills in Essex ( and Cambridgeshire)! We were on top of the tallest tumulus (13m) which forms part of the Roman burial mounds in Bartlow, as part of our second leg of the Harcamlow Way. We started at Ashdon Windmill to Bartlow , then Horseheath and West Wratting before the heavens opened and we trudged back to Ashdon. This also has to be the worst signposted walk ever!
