She's off

We were pleased to see the HMS Queen Elizabeth leave Invergordon tonight and make her way past the Sutors in Cromarty.
We went down to Newhall Point with David and we could hear the engines. A group of other photographers had gathered and the tug boats had started their job and helping to turn the aircraft carrier boat around so that she could head out towards the sea. It was amazing to watch as the tugs pulled and pushed her into position. We had a great viewpoint and the action happened right in front of us. Not the easiest to photograph though , a grey boat against a grey sky on a grey sea meant poor light.
We followed the boat down the Firth, we reached Cromarty first and parked and walked to the end of the pier from where I took this blip. She hooted as she went by. Around to the shore and she sailed through the sutors.
