Old gig tickets - Dire Straits

So, it was 34 years ago today I saw Dire Straits at the Hammersmith Odeon. Far be it from me to complain about any band discovered and championed by the great Charlie Gillett, but this was a pretty lousy concert, and where the Knopflers and I parted company. I'd seen them a couple of years previously at the Rainbow, and that had been a top gig. My memory of this was I'm afraid it was just dull. Probably just an off night, but there you are. I think they survived my desertion.
