Another example of a Christian desecration of the Moorish (or 'History in Action', I suppose) - this time a very grand, gracefully columned but essentially quite restrained sacred space with a great Grand-Catholic wedding cake dumped in the middle. To be fair, apparently even the Spanish king who commissioned the job felt the same when he saw the finished article. Later on we drove down to our local Aldi so that we could enjoy a picnic tea on the balcony as well as stocking up on breakfast essentials and car snacks for tomorrow's drive to the Sierra Nevada...
