Rudbeckia
LIke the heleniums, as rudbeckia flowers develop they change from green to their full colour, in this case yellow, unfurling themselves as they go. At this stage they look as if they're made of some sort of artificial material. It's probably a bit early for rudbeckias, but the recent rain may persuade them that they don't need to panic about getting on with flowering, and perhaps they'll slow down a bit. Fortunately, they last a long time in flower.
