Water work...

The water lilies in the pond are flowering - in fact this appears to be one of their best years.   

On the other hand the water plants that are clogging the shallower end are also rampant and a "howking out" is overdue.

Today however, taking a rare day off, it was time to fill the pot holes in the track, which given the heat was a somewhat uncomfortable task.  

However  between us Cathleen and I managed to dig out lots of silt, grush and small stones from the stream (which was pretty much clogged) and transport it to where it would do more good.
