Our last day in Poland
We had a good half day in Zakopane before our coach to the airport at 2pm for an evening flight to Newcastle.
I had a gentle wander through the centre. Aggie is swollen and in a bit of a huff, so I had to go canny. (That's one Geordie use of the word, meaning carefully.) I was delighted to find a shop selling genuine Polish products and found a pretty glass bird for Mum.
The town was very busy, but the lower temperature today made it tolerable. Schools are definitely out and there were lots of groups of children who appear to be on holiday. My blip shows one group on the steps up to the church of the Holy Family. Bang on 2pm our bus arrived. It had taken the driver 4 hours from Krakow and he had to have a 45 minute break before continuing. So we all waited and hoped the traffic would be better going to Krakow. I kept thinking that surely nothing else could go wrong!
We had a trouble free journey and enjoyed being at Krakow Airport. We landed in the UK at 9pm and were picked up by Chris in a Baynes coach.
It's been a super holiday (and so say all of us - except Aggie.......)
