ABOVE CHAMONIX VALLEY

Went up on the Mont Blanc tramway and got off at Mont Lachat as the end of the route was closed at Nid d'Aigle for repairs. Watched the mountaineers trudging on up to the huts before going for the summit the following day. G went off for a wander higher up and I sat and painted the view, well, it looks like it vaguely and I enjoyed doing it, and had a large orange butterfly land on my hand for several minutes.

This was on the walk back down before we caught the tram at Bellevue.
