Ancient Flowers
The tidying up continues. The two bookcases from the dining room are now gone (in the summerhgouse to be precise). I found some interesting stuff stored amongst the books.
It's time for this book of pressed flowers to go (I've photographed every page). I think I might have pressed them in about 1965. We were on holiday in Scarborough. I was amazed at how many wild flowers there were. My parents bought me a scrapbook and some selotape. I pressed the flowers under the carpet of the flat we were holidaying in. I have to add that it was not a bad thing to pick wild flowers then, it was a whole different world.
Looks to me like this was the start of my interest in nature, and the beginning of my becoming a primary school teacher.
I chose this page because it had the most colour left in it.
