Tapestry of Harvest

I love this time of year. I love the colours, the coolness of the morning air, the structures of seed heads in the countryside....ah, too much to list. I only like it when it's sunny though, which it was most certainly not yesterday. The rain and grey skies stopped me taking the desired photos of the beautiful hay bales in the countryside around Fife. Today, however, hubby spotted this field of hay bales not too far from us on his cycle ride, and offered to drive me there to get a few snaps. This is on the road to Kirkliston looking towards the Pentland Hills. I love the different patterns made during the harvest.

Tomorrow is my father-in-law's 80th birthday, so we're off to the Borders to celebrate. I'm hoping for some more countryside blips (weather permitting!). Wishing everyone a great weekend.
