Slug Theory Part II

Well eleven days ago I published a photo discrediting the Egg Shell slug theory.

The comments on that Blip suggested "Beer Traps"! Yes Beer Traps, my beer traps are recycled yoghurt pots and margarine tubs, burred to the brim under the shelter of my rhubarb plants leafs and filled to the top with Guinness.

As you can see, they are now brimming with dead slugs. So if you want to kill some slugs and protect your veg and salad, forget egg shells and coffee and forget salt, fill a tub with Irish Stout and bury it in the garden.

My next issue is what to do with them, I am tempted to tip it out on the compost heap? Emm not sure
