The Napoleonic Fort at Ambleteuse

Spending the last couple of days of our holiday in Wimereux on the French coast near to Boulogne. We walked along the beach and over the sand dunes to Ambleteuse. On our return the high tide had created an island of the fort.

Back in Wimereux the sun had finally shone and the temperature had risen. Enjoyed a coffee in a beach cafe overlooking the sea. It has been a perfect day.
