Herford

We parked in Herford this morning and I took this shot of the Marta contemporary art museum. We were on our way to the station to catch a train to Osnabruck so it was just a quick shot from the car park. It was raining heavily and forecast to carry on doing the same all day. Osnabruck has shops and museums so seemed like our best option for the day. I am completely unprepared for rain (light showers maybe but not heavy rain) so I squelched around the town in sandals. I tried on a few pairs of more suitable shoes but that's not easy with soaking wet feet so didn't buy any. See Igor's blip for more about our Osnabruck adventures.

We plan to go back to Herford tomorrow morning to visit the Marta properly. On the 20th July last year (cue David C for the link please!!) we spent a few happy hours here and hope to repeat the experience.

The rest of the band arrive tomorrow afternoon and the first gig is tomorrow evening in a dark pub in Bunde.
