Canal Lateral a la Garonne

Things we learned today:
Him Outdoors reads circular routes backwards and so plots them in the Garmin the wrong way round !
The reason grapes grow well in Bordeaux is due to slopes and warm strong winds -neither of which is conducive to a happy cycle!
Not packing a picnic in the hope of a boulangerie or cafe en route is foolhardy and leads to excess cake consumption at the end of 42 hilly miles!
A great day of running, cycling, vin-yarding and hot tubbing. Settling into this holiday nicely!
