London Eye

It is many years since I last went on the London Eye, but this afternoon we decided to become tourists and took a ride.  Although it was a dull day, the views were still good.

This was taken from more or less the highest point on the wheel, looking across Westminster Bridge to the Palace of Westminster (the Houses of Parliament) and, beyond the Union Jack flag, the white chimneys of Battersea Power Station.  Further left, on the bend of the river, is the prominent tower block at St George Wharf.

It is fun occasionally to be a tourist in my own city.
