Falkirk Wheel

We were planning on an epic train trip to Mallaig, booked ages ago. But last night we checked the ScotRail website, the train wasn't showing and we found it had been cancelled. Disappointing.

So we headed to Falkirk to see Rough Castle on the Antonine Wall, near the Falkirk Wheel.

The wheel was teeming with folk, but 2 minutes up the hill it was deserted. Beautiful day for a bit of archeology spotting.
